The last couple of months has been pretty wet….rain, rain, cold temperatures and more rain.
So in between this….

We made this….

We have been wanting to try this new garden style called no till, lasagna style, no dig etc. It is super easy!
….and because this is Ohio after all, we went from a windchill of 39 degrees last week to 80 something for the last 2 days and now I have very angry plants.
We have about 130 or so plants and herbs that we started from seed, plus we purchased another flat of veggies today with 6 berry bushes.

Hot temps, full sun with high winds don’t really make a good start for young plants. The kids will have to say one more day in their temporary homes, at least they are at they are safe from the elements.

Sure looks beautiful.
How are the plants doing? Photo?
I planted too early in this weird weather and had to replant. Didn’t get really up to speed due to other stuff, so the veggie garden is mostly tomatoes, butternut squash, one bean plant
that survived whatever was making off with them, and the perennials rhubarb, horseradish, and herbs that come up regardless.
The little guys are doing well except for my sugar peas. I’m a little upset about that and will probably just sow more seeds this week. I am working on a post but have been in the gardens every nite until sun down over the past couple weeks when not working and doing pack walks on the weekends. Sometimes I wish that warm weather didn’t bring jam packed days.
Hello, We have had a cool, wet growing season here in Maine as well. I have been having to spray with fungicide every week now becauce of the wetness. You might enjoy one of my posts about a little breeze on my blog. I hope your garden does well.
